[attr="class","likedoinfo"]In order to move up through the ranks of Shin-U.A. as a student, you must complete your exams to move up into the next year. You are capable of making a student at any year in school. You do not need to take your exam at any specific time due to students coming in at separate times in the year. As such, exams will occur every three months. Every three months, a staff member will post sign-ups for the exam, and players have one week to sign up for it. Characters are allowed to partner with anyone in the same year that they prefer and do not need to be limited to partnering with characters in the same class. Characters are also capable of doing their exams solo, but characters collaborating with others can only partner with three other students. Exams may differ between the separate courses--heroic courses may have exams involving combat or athleticism, while general education students may have exams involving more academic subjects.
On exam threads, the staff member moderating your exam thread acts as a threat to your character completing the exam. This threat can exist as anything, but most commonly the threat is another person that the school puts in as a test for students to overcome.
Another test in a student's climb to the top is the Provisional License Exam. Achieving this license allows a character to use their quirk in public, the first stepping stone towards becoming a professional hero. In order to take this exam, a student must be a second-year at least. These exams function incredibly similar to regular school year exams, and students are also able to gather groups to take these exams together. In order to take this exam, you must sign up for it in the Provisional License Exam board using the template within. The Provisional License allows your student to act in emergency situations with their quirk without gaining permission from a professional hero to do so and without punishment from superiors. This also allows your student to intern under a professional hero. Be aware that a provisional license can also be rescinded with enough bad behavior.
Exams for students to graduate are much more intense than exams for students to go to the next year, but are signed-up for in the same fashion.
Students may only raise their quirks and skills to Tier C before being capped there. At that point, they must graduate before they can raise their quirk or skills any higher.
