[attr="class","likedoinfo"]A rank claim is the only way you will be able to create a character that does not start at the starting rank of the faction. As such, these characters are held to a much higher standard than other characters. These standards are detailed below.
A player with a rank claim must be literate. When creating an application for a rank claim, you will be using a special application template that has a space for a 300-word writing sample. In this sample, we are looking for a strong handle on English and writing, proficient in grammar and vocabulary, and dedication to character and development. This sample can be old or drafted primarily for this site, we do not mind either, we merely wish to see your level in terms of roleplay and writing.
A player who has achieved a rank claim must post an in-character post at least once a week for two months once the application has been accepted. Staff members will be monitoring this closely, and if you miss this period, a staff member will speak to you to remind you. You have one more week to make an in-character post before your rank claim is revoked and your character is archived. You can ask for your character to be unarchived, but these will be taken on a case by case basis. If you need to take a hiatus from your posting, please let a staff member know and they will put you down as on hiatus.
After you have demonstrated your activity for the two month period, you will instead need to make at least four in-character posts per month. If the staff members notice that you have not done so, they will speak with you and give you a one week grace period with which you can make these posts before archiving your character. One player may only have one rank claim at a time.
To make a teacher is to make a rank claim. Be sure to know what you are getting into!
The rank claims that are available are listed below. These rank claims also come with specific instructions for how to create your character's quirk and skills.
